I'm looking for help with:

At the Clinic of Natural Medicine, naturopathic physicians Tina Kaczor,ND, and Teresa Silliman,ND, take the time to get to know their patients. Whether you have never seen a naturopathic physician or are a seasoned veteran of alternative medicines, Dr's Kaczor and Silliman can help you navigate the often perplexing maze of information regarding natural medicine. Combining the science of medicine with centuries-old healing arts, the Clinic of Natural Medicine strives to strike a balance of the best of both worlds.

Regardless of your current health status, whether you are battling a chronic degenerative disease, training for a marathon or practicing preventative medicine, natural medicine can help you achieve optimal wellness. Optimal wellness is a mentally, physically and emotionally balanced state-- a state your body constantly tries to attain. Unfortunately, many obstacles can prevent that balanced, healthy state. Our job is to identify and remove these obstacles to good health through targeted nutrients, herbal medicine, homeopathy and diet.

Biochemical Individuality

At the Clinic of Natural Medicine we treat you, not your condition. We believe that whatever your disease or condition may be, it is a manifestation of underlying imbalances in your biochemistry. Determining these underlying imbalances is an essential step in correcting them. This is achieved through a thorough consultation (our intake in at least one hour in length), a review of all conventional testing (blood work, pathology reports, imaging, etc.), a physical/nutritional exam, and further testing if indicated (conventional or non-conventional blood work, salivary, fecal or urine analysis).

Symptoms as Language

Symptoms can be viewed as the language of the body. One role of the naturopathic physicians at the Clinic of Natural Medicine is to interpret your symptoms. While it is possible that several symptoms are unrelated, it is also possible for themes to emerge from a symptom complex. The body must be looked at as a whole as well as its parts. While the conventional medical profession has divided the body neatly into areas of expertise, it remains a fact that the human body ultimately works as one functioning unit. There is not a single process in the human body that takes place in isolation. Treating the whole person, as a unique individual, is essential for successful care.

Doctor Means Teacher

The term doctor is taken from the Latin word "docere" which means teacher. At the Clinic of Natural Medicine, our naturopathic physicians will dedicate the time needed to guide you through the "what's", the "why's" and the "how's" of improving your health. By understanding your condition and the precise rationale behind their therapeutic recommendations, you are empowered to take control of your situation.
